Not everyone has the ability to build a financial empire. That’s part of the problem in this world. We create jealousy and borders based on the financial success that others may have earned.

Consider how dangerous it can be to continuously comparing ourselves to others. That can lead to jealousy and resentment. As you pull back and look at the big picture, if you’ve lived a life of doing something you enjoy, you have your health, family, and friends; you have a lot to be thankful for. True happiness isn’t reflected by a collection of the assets you’ve been able to accumulate over your lifetime, but rather a collection of your memories, experiences, and how deeply you loved. It’s in those things you hopefully find a life full of appreciation and gratitude.

When I decided to step away as the CEO of Snap Fitness, I stepped away from an industry I loved and spent the last 35 years in. Yes, I may have successfully built a fitness empire, but the real gold was the people. I’m most grateful and honored for all the amazing relationships and friendships I made over that ime. That doesn’t compare to the incredible memories and character-building moments that were dependent on making the ight decisions at the right time in a very competitive industry. Some of the fondest memories I have are those moments itting in my board room with some amazing, talented people as we collectively chartered our way across the unpredictable hallenges that come with working in an industry that evolves and pivots at the speed of light.

I though it was a bittersweet decision to leave, I also knew and ppreciated what an amazing life I had lived unfelt compelled to focus on the next 50 years of my life, sharing my stories but more importantly conveying the message, “if I can do it, you can too”. I hope that everyone reading this book finds the fire within themselves to chase their impossible hill.

I feel the last 35 years of my life was a grooming process by our heavenly father to put me at this place in my life. I believe my “Why” is to share my real-life experiences with anyone and everyone who aspires to live the American dream. For some reason, one of my gifts provides me the ability to process information very quickly and come up with solutions or alternatives to what can be very challenging times. By hearing my stories, I hope you will inspire your own journey of amazing experiences, wealth, love, happiness, and prosperity.

This book is for those who would like to hear the uncensored version and the truth on what it takes to win both physically, mentally, and financially.

My next impossible hill is to focus on building a platform or forum that allows me to reach thousands of people and provide a beacon of light or inspiration to see their North star and live a life of their dreams. I’m not saying it’s going to be

I promise you I will help you create the right mental state to easy, but clarify what exactly the journey ahead has in store for you.

These are the lessons I have learned and hope they will help you along the way. If you look for it, doing the right thing will rear its head multiple times throughout the day. It may come in struggling with a situation where you have positive historical insight or experience.

Accountability and character reside within each of us. This is the essence of who we are and how we choose to support those around us. Earlier in this book, I spoke about attitude and character. I’ve always said you can measure the depth of someone’s character by the work they do when no one’s watching.

There have been countless times when I’ve been busy in my own life, when I come across someone in need. In all honesty, I feel so blessed and, at times, have such guilt over the life I have.

Fortunately, it becomes almost impossible for me to walk past or ignore a situation that could use my assistance.

Knowing this, I do things to prepare myself to react quickly and intentionally without pulling myself away from my own responsibilities. Let me give you an example of how my daughter Sunny came up with a beautiful idea a few years ago that I still do to this day.

A few years ago, my daughter gave me a box with 50 small envelopes for my birthday. Each envelope had a cross and an American flag on it. None of the envelopes were sealed, so naturally, I picked one up and opened it. Inside each envelope, she hand wrote short bible verses for words of encouragement to those in need. Inside each of those envelopes, I added a five- dollar bill; I Carry those envelopes with me everywhere I go. Here’s the beauty; it does as much for me as it does for the person receiving it. Every time I see the envelope, it brings me closer to God. Every time I give one away, I say a short prayer out loud for the recipient in hopes it brings them the courage to press forward and look to God.

When it comes to living life, don’t be a bystander. Get in the game, show up early, show up with intention, and show up often.

I remember a quote from the Avengers that really stuck with me. The Avengers were recruiting Spiderman, and when they met Peter Parker, they asked him why he does it? Why does he help people in need?

Peter Parker responded by saying, “When I see people struggling with a problem that I can easily solve, it’s my responsibility to help them. If I don’t, then I’m responsible for their suffering.”

I have spent 35 years building businesses from the ground up. I have climbed the impossible hills you are staring at in your life, and I have prepared myself with the knowledge and abilities to climb those hills. I also started noticing the lies being perpetuated on social media on how easy it is to become successful overnight. Once I saw what was going on, it created a burning desire to share the real truth about success, finding true fulfillment and happiness.
